Tuscan Wine Week at Borgo San Vincenzo

Borgo San Vincenzo is proud to partner with the Wine Scholar Guild in offering an exclusive Wine Week from October 14 – 19, 2023. Guests are invited to join for special experiences throughout the week on a shared basis, guided by Andrea Eby, the head of the Italian Wine Scholar™ program. 

Meet local winemakers and connect with fellow wine enthusiasts. Enjoy guided wine-pairing dinners featuring wines from throughout Italy. Through private tours and tastings, get a feel for the nuances in the Tuscan region that have helped give life to different traditions around food and wine.

Borgo guests are able to sign up for any (or all!) events happening during the week. Spaces are limited for each offering so reserve in advance! 

Saturday, October 14th: Wine Tasting at Borgo San Vincenzo
Kick off the week with a Taste of Montepulciano – enjoy a classic method sparkling, white, rosé, and two reds from the region to understand the winemaking traditions of our area, plus ways young winemakers are innovating with traditional method sparklings and full-bodied whites! €50 per person, 5:30PM 

Sunday, October 15th: 5- Course Wine Pairing Dinner 
Join us for a guided wine pairing dinner highlighting wines from different regions of Italy! Led by Andrea plus BSV’s F&B Director, we’ll sip wines from throughout the country and get a bit of insight into each. €125 per person, 7:30PM 

Monday, October 16th: Wine Tasting in Montepulciano 
Explore Montepulciano’s wines with your wine host – a perfect way to learn more about local wines and ask questions with our wine expert! With a dedicated driver, visit three different wineries in the region and enjoy lunch with a view. Meet local winemakers while sampling Rosso di Montepulciano, the region’s famous Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, plus Supertuscans from the area. €275 per person, Full Day Tour 

Tuesday, October 17th: Tuscan Master Class at Borgo San Vincenzo 
Led by Andrea Eby, dig into wines of Tuscany with Chianti Classico, Brunello di Montalcino, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, plus two Supertuscans, to understand winemaking in the region, what makes each unique, DOC/DOCG guidelines — and most importantly, learn which is your personal favorite! €100 per person, 5:30PM 

Wednesday, October 18th: Wine Tasting in Montalcino 
Head further afield to Montalcino (approximately one hour from Borgo) to sample the region’s famous Brunellos and Rosso di Montalcino. With a dedicated driver, enjoy three different wineries in the region plus lunch. €300 per person, Full Day Tour
