Sagra del Fungo e Della Castagna in Vivo d’ Orcia

In October (exact dates TBD), the traditional Mushroom and Chestnut Festival takes place in Vivo d’Orcia , on Monte Amiata. In the restaurant, in covered and heated rooms, open every day of the festival, it is possible to taste dishes based on porcini mushrooms and chestnuts. At the food stands it is possible to buy mushrooms, roasted chestnuts as well as typical products. A mycological exhibition is set up along a naturalistic path and it is possible to make historical-naturalistic excursions in the suggestive chestnut groves.
