Calici di Stelle

The night of Calici di Stelle returns to Montepulciano with exclusive tastings of Rosso di Montepulciano DOC and Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG in some of the most evocative places of the 16th century medieval city. The schedule provides for the tasting of the precious reds of Montepulciano combined with the flavors of the Valdichiana Senese area to enhance their qualities. The pleasant atmosphere of the Night of San Lorenzo will also be enlivened by the musical accompaniment of the Masters of the Hans Werner Henze Institute of Music in Montepulciano and by the reading of the verses of the Divine Comedy by the actors of the Nuova Accademia degli Arrischianti. 

The serving service will be entrusted to the professionalism of the FISAR sommeliers.

There will be tours to discover the monumental cellars of the historic center of Montepulciano and for art and history lovers the tour “A walk with the Poliziano” to deepen the bond of the town with Agnolo Poliziano, poet and tutor of the de I family Doctors. The event, organized according to the anti-covid 19 safety regulations, includes tasting sessions in the 6 suggestive locations, upon reservation. Calici di Stelle in Montepulciano is organized by the Strada del Vino Nobile di Montepulciano and the Flavors of the Valdichiana Senese in collaboration and with the contribution of the Municipality of Montepulciano.
